# Voice Sounds Distorted

If your voice sounds distorted in the playback of a practice question, you may be having issues with your Audio Enhancements. This is a known issue on computers running Windows 10.

Please follow these steps to disable Audio Enhancements:

(Note: if this does not apply to you and you’re having trouble with distorted playback, try restarting your computer.)

1\. Type **Sound** in your search option and select **Sound Control panel**.

2\. In the Sound window that opens, right-click on the default device and select **Properties**. The default device will have a green checkmark on it.

3\. In the Speaker Properties window, select the **Enhancements** tab. Check the box next to **Disable all enhancements**. Click **OK** to save your changes.

Please note: If you don't see the Enhancements tab, please try using headphones with a microphone or a different device.

4\. After you have followed these steps, try another practice question.
